Its safe to say that this filly gave Champion Jockey Jamie Spencer a great feel this morning!
Its not often we stretch the budget this far but we are delighted to add this very exciting Starman filly to our 2yo ranks for 2026 after a mightily impressive race course gallop this morning!
We were first made aware of this filly when Sam James went into Ollie's to ride out several 2yo's a few weeks ago, she came up nicely despite showing evident signs of greenness and she was firmly on our list to monitor as she stepped towards her racecourse debut.
She went to Kempton this morning and having set off in the rear, she breezed past her three work rivals in taking fashion with Jamie Spencer sat quietly on the outside of the three.
Jamie was full of praise afterwards, stating she was by far the best horse in the piece of work and he would aim high initially, touting the maiden fillies race at the Craven meeting as a potential starting point.
Whilst its nice to know that she is up to keeping that sort of company, our imediate attentions will be drawn towards the Goffs €50k races that she qualifies for, a reward that we collected on three occasions in 2025, once with Ollie in the shape of Artista.
This filly will also qualify for the "Million" race later in the year and based on her work today and Jamie's comments, that should be firmly on our radar.
Starman needs no introduction to anyone who followed racing in 2025, he burst onto the scene as a first season stallion with four group winners and multiple stakes placed horses.
A group one winner himself, he stands at Tally Ho Stud and he looks to be yet another success story from the County Westmeath Stud Farm.
He had so much success in 2025 that his stud fee rocketed from €10,000 to €40,000 in 2026 and i fully expect his breezers to command some eye watering prizes in the coming weeks as the breeze up sales begin.
There is a very limited number of shares available, Nick has retained a share and we have purchased a small share from Ollie and she will wear our silks going forward.
This could be the ticket to Royal Ascot with the Queen Mary in our sights!
