First and foremost Nick is a businessman, when a horse is purchased it is bought as a financial investment. Nick invests his own capital in the horse and does so in the thinking that at some point in the future, along with his investors, he will be able to make a profit. By adopting this policy, Nick offers his investors the maximum opportunities to enjoy racehorse ownership.
It often baffles Nick how successful businessmen and women seem to disregard the policies that have served them well and seem to see racehorse investment as a 'throwaway investment' or 'a bit of fun'.
Well at Nick Bradley Racing your investment in our stock, methodology, and way of thinking is not seen as a throwaway investment. Nick offers you the thrill of racehorse ownership, an opportunity to compete at the highest level, detailed factual information about your horse and its progress rather than hype and unfulfilled promise.
Nick has developed a reputation for being as sharp as anyone in the horse racing industry when it comes to selecting bloodstock. This is not a self labelled title Nick has given himself, regular success of buying the right horses for small budgets has seen this reputation build over the last 20 years.
Click here to read a recent interview that Nick gave to Rich Williams, where he talks in detail about his background, how Nick Bradley Racing was formed and his approach to buying horses.

Nick has chosen to focus very much on the 2yo and 3yo race programme. When at the sales he views, selects and purchases in the main, yearling and 2yo fillies to race within this programme. In essence, this allows Nick to aim to master his trade rather than being the jack of all trades.
Nick & Lewis make all of the race entry and declaration decisions for the Nick Bradley Racing horses. They monitor the declarations tracking between 9 and 10am each morning throughout the Flat racing season. They then monitor and selects the races our horses are entered in between 10am and 12pm. This gives our horses an advantage over most other owners as the team can monitor, select and enter horses into the races which we deem are weak for their grade.
This means that when it comes to raceday, our horses have a greater chance of winning.
Nick views every yearling filly that is presented at a public sale in the UK, Ireland or Deauville, France. Nick evaluates the physical presentation of every horse he views and then considers the pedigree and veterinary notes, if the physical presentation is strong enough to be considered for Nick Bradley Racing.
By seeing every horse that is presented, it allows Nick to pick out the best stock on offer. In 2020, Nick Bradley Racing had the best daughters of Dandy Man, Adaay, Kodi Bear and Gutaifan in training in the whole of the UK. This is very much down to the approach Nick adopts at the sales.

Nick bought Group 1 winner Donjuan Triumphant at the 2015 Craven Breeze Ups for just 30,000 Guineas. In 2020, Nick purchased Furlong Factor privately ahead of the breeze ups, she went on to finish 2nd in the Listed Marygate Stakes at York. He added Mystery Angel to the ranks at the Craven Breeze Ups for just 22,000 Guineas and by the end of the year she was the second highest rated filly to come from the 2020 Breeze Up sales in Europe and went on to finish second in the Group one Oaks.
Marshman was another notable purchase, he is currently a group three winner, whilst Listed winner Fast Response cost just 16,000gns.
Last year saw us purchase Glamis Road, another Donny Rocket, for just 30,000gns.
She was the second highest rated filly to come out of that sale after her success in the Listed Herod Stakes.
Nick uses his contacts in the breeze up industry to purchase some fillies privately early in the season.
Love Talk, Oscula, Hellomydarlin and Eldrickjones where all purchase using this method.
