kodi bear x Asidious Alexander

We are delighted to add Lot 374 from the Goffs Orby Book 1 Sale to Nick Bradley Racing. This daughter of Kodi Bear, out of the Listed-winning mare Asidious Alexander, combines a proven source of talented two-year-olds with a dam who showed plenty of juvenile ability herself. She will join Charlie Clover, fresh from our memorable success with Poppy Foxy.

Kodi Bear has built an impressive record with his two-year-olds. His leading performers include Queen Mary Stakes winner Leovanni, Railway Stakes winner Go Bears Go and Gimcrack Stakes winner Lifeplan, himself a Goffs Orby purchase. His ability to produce horses capable of competing at major meetings makes him an appealing sire when looking for our next exciting filly.

The dam, Asidious Alexander, brings her own black-type credentials. She won twice at two, including the Listed Prix Six Perfections at Deauville, and backed that up with second in the Group 3 Prix du Calvados and third in the Group 3 Prix d’Aumale. Her consistent performances in good juvenile company are an attractive feature of this filly’s pedigree.

A daughter of Windsor Knot, Asidious Alexander is also a half-sister to Listed winner and Group 2-placed Accepted, while another half-sister, May Day Queen, was a winning two-year-old and Group 3-placed sprinter. There is proven speed and black-type performance throughout the immediate family, providing an encouraging foundation for our filly’s racing career.

Charlie Clover’s recent success with Poppy Foxy makes this a particularly exciting time to send another filly to his yard. Poppy Foxy gave Nick Bradley Racing owners a fantastic day when winning the British EBF £100,000 Two-Year-Old Fillies’ Series Final at Goodwood on 23 September. Under a perfectly timed ride from Rossa Ryan, she finished strongly to beat Super Sprint winner Zigazig Ah by a head.

As always at this sale, you have the choice to tick the box for the Goffs Two Million series. This is at a cost of €5,000 and the upfront prices below includes this fee. In 2025, we won more bonuses than any other UK owner, collecting three bonuses despite all three winners costing less than one bonus! Restricted races feature heavily in the programme book and we'll be aiming at those races before having a look at the €1,000,000 race later in the year which remarkably was only two thirds full in 2026.
