BAREFOOT BEACH

We are delighted to have secured Barefoot Beach from the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale, and this exciting, lightly raced daughter of Kodi Bear will now join David Easterby.

Barefoot Beach arrives with a very attractive profile, having made just four career starts and shown an excellent level of consistency throughout. She has recorded Racing Post Ratings between 79 and 83 on all four appearances, suggesting she already possesses a very solid level of ability, and we firmly believe there is further improvement to come.

Her debut victory at Kempton was particularly impressive, winning by three lengths against opposition that included horses rated in the 80s. That was a very encouraging introduction, and she has subsequently performed with credit in all three starts, finishing second twice and third once.

Whilst she has raced at seven furlongs once (which produced a career high RPR) this was a slowly run race and we believe a stronger gallop will only bring out further improvement. She has had the longest stride in two of her four career starts and we have purchased her with a very specific campaign in mind, at a track which will really allow her to stride out.

Our immediate plan is to target three fillies-only races over seven furlongs throughout the winter, with the ultimate objective being the £150,000 Fillies & Mares Handicap on All-Weather Championships Finals Day at Newcastle in March 2027.

This is a race we have spent considerable time analysing, and one that historically looks weaker than its substantial prize fund might suggest. We feel it represents an excellent opportunity for the right type of filly, particularly one who is improving, relatively unexposed and capable of competing off a workable handicap mark.

Barefoot Beach fits that profile perfectly.

Another major positive is that Richard Hannon personally recommended the filly to us. She remains in full work and is expected to be ready to run in approximately four weeks, meaning we can get straight into her winter campaign without any lengthy delay.

David Easterby will take over her training, and we are excited to see what he can achieve with a filly who has already demonstrated her ability but has had very little racing.

With just four runs behind her, a proven level of form, a potentially ideal trip of seven furlongs and a clear target worth £150,000, we believe Barefoot Beach represents a really exciting opportunity.

Our ambition is simple: build towards Newcastle on Good Friday, with the aim of having a progressive filly capable of competing for one of the most valuable fillies-only handicaps of the entire all-weather season.

Hopefully, she can provide her new owners with plenty of enjoyment throughout the winter and a fantastic day out at Newcastle in March.
