Ardad filly to take us to the Hilary Needler, Woodcote Stakes and hopefully France!
Despite our amazing start to the season for our two year old fillies, we have been looking to add to our roster if the right opportunity presented itself and that has seen us in discussions with several trainers over the past couple of weeks.
With form figures for our 2yo's reading 12131212412, Nick has made it no secret that he would like to target all of the valuable races that lie either side of Royal Ascot and we believe we have agreed a deal for a filly who should take us to races like the Hilary Needler, Woodcote, Empress Stakes and possibly over to France.
Anaisa is an Ardad filly trained by Tim Easterby, Tim is enjoying a fantastic start to the season, his best since I can remember and his two year olds have really hit the ground running.
Indeed he's already had three two year old winners which is remarkable given he won four two year old races in the whole of 2024!
This filly made her debut at Beverley, where she was sent off at 80/1 in what looked a competitive maiden that Ali Shuffle came home in front in.
Both the second and tenth placed horses won on their next start and Archie Watson's Sioux Perfect ran well in a Royal Ascot trial on her next start.
Anaisa finished sixth that day, despite been extremely green throughout the early parts of the race and she would put that experience to good use on her second start, winning at Thirsk in the quicker division of the maiden with the front two pulling well clear of the remainder.
Importantly for us, she won because she had the most ability and she looks far from the finished article, in fact she was one of the first off the bridle and was very green when asked for an effort.
Tim reports that she has taken another step forward for that effort and a step up in trip is expected to bring about any amount of improvement and she should be an exciting filly for her new owners.
This filly is also 100% GB registered, a scheme that has seen Ali Shuffle land £50,000 in bonuses already and we also have the option of restricted novices that are made all the more appealing given the £20,000 bonus per win on top of any prize money.
It's this scheme that has prompted Tim to enter her twice in the coming days, one of those is a £40k fillies novice such is the expectation that she will take another big step forward the next day.
She is out of a Kingman mare who won over nine furlongs and perhaps the GBB+ scheme which would see her rewarded with £20,000 for any nursery win over a mile or further may also be in scope towards the end of the season.
As highlighted above, races like the Woodcote and the Listed Empress Stakes at Newmarket both ran in June are firmly on our radar for this filly and we think she represents excellent value especially when you put her price tag up against unproven breeze up purchases.
